Tinnitus Support

Tinnitus groups allow people living with tinnitus to come together and develop support networks. Here they can not only exchange their stories and share their worries, but also talk about their own coping strategies and ways in which they have learned to live well with their tinnitus. A problem shared is a problem halved, so they say, and meeting up with people who understand the problem can be valuable.

Signal has joined forces with The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust’s Audiology department to launch the Shropshire Tinnitus Support Group, meeting in Shrewsbury and in Telford. We are delighted to say that the British Tinnitus Association (BTA) is behind our efforts.

We also run tinnitus information and support sessions in Shrewsbury and in Telford. Our tinnitus support volunteer has tinnitus herself and understands what it means to live with this invisible condition. She has received training from the British Tinnitus Association and is qualified to listen to your story, all in confidence. She can share information about possible coping mechanisms.

When and where will the group meet?
